Accidents happen (8/20/09)

Well today has been an eventful day. Work went well, but on the way to a clients today, a suv ran a red light and rammed into another SUV with 2 kids, a dad and a mom in it. All I saw was a blue SUV sliding down the road with a White SUV going past it sliding to the slide. The lady must have been on the phone and didn't pay attention to the red light. The little girl in the car was crying, and the boy just seemed to be in shock, the dad had some cut up arms, and thankfully the mom was alright. I jumped out of my car and busted into the middle of the street while calling 911. Thankfully everyone in the end was fun, cops showed up, took mine and another lady's statements, and sent us on our way. Its amazing how dangerous it is on the roads man. You can be doing everything right, and still get into an accident cause someone else is being dumb. Its scary, and it really makes you start counting your blessings. I am so happy everyone was ok though.

Bible verse for the day

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
The Lord is on my side as my helper;
I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.
—Psalm 118:6-9

Having good friends+God=a happy life (8/19/09)

What a day what a day. Work went well, even though I got in late lol. I hate not having my mom here, she wakes me up usually. Ill get use to it though, and then she will be back. Oh well. Anyways, made some sales today, always nice. Then I got to hang out with a friend for a few hours. Great kid, lots of fun to hang out with. He likes computers almost as much as I do. Maybe i found a young apprentice? Anyways, had a lot of fun hanging out with him. We mostly played video games today, but he wants to learn more about computers, so I will probably start teaching him new things. I also have been doing some reflecting tonight (uh oh, this doesn't normally end well) but it was actually good reflection time. I started thinking about all my friends...christian friends, non christian friends, young and old friends, male and female, etc. Dude, I got the best group of friends ever. I don't have many, but the ones I have, AMAZING. To name a few, Justin Lindsey. Dude, that guy is awesome. Justin is like a brother to me. Him and I think a like way to much, and sometimes we don't even have to verbally communicate to get something across. I hope to keep him as a friend until death strikes us down. Then, COURTNEY BOYD! What a guy that character is. That man has been there for me through a lot of things. He is the person that baptized me for the first time. I couldn't have asked for a better person to do it. Me and him get along pretty well, mainly cause he has the mind of a 12 year old, and its AWESOME! lol. Then I got Tim Myers, the young apprentice. I just talked about him. Then I have Jeff Skinner, I have talked about him before. I got Kevin Hudson. Oh, Matthew Cabrera, couldn't forget him. We haven't hung out for a while, but we still keep in contact, and he always was a good friend. Nathan burns, met him this year, he is one cool dude. I got a few others that I wont mention for now (our friendships are still developing) but those are a few of the main ones. My friends are great. They keep me inline, and remind me I am 16 and not 30 from time to time lol. Thank you to all my friends, you are all great.

The last thing I want to mention today is a bible verse I found. It could not express my feelings any better.

1 Timothy 4:12
"Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."

Wow. Amen to that. Running a business as a 16 year old could probably not be much more difficult for me. thankfully I have great parents, friends, and family to back me up. Sadly, my age stops me from doing lots of things in the business industry. It honestly sucks and can get discouraging quickly. I am asked a lot why I like helping kids so much....I figured out the reason. I want them to have the same opportunities I have had. The opportunity to live their dream at a young age. I really want my business to succeed....filming is a passion of mine....electronics are a passion of mine...computers are a passion. If I can do what I love in a helping manner to others, then by all means I will do whatever I can to do it. My company right now is one of the lowest priced computer repair shops in the entire county. Our prices or almost less than half the prices of the competitions, and we are still open and making money. I am not out to get rich fast off of one customer. I believe in the low price, multiple customers theory. I am a consumer to, I know the prices I would prefer if I needed a computer fixed. I would choose $50 over $120 any day. I am darn proud of what I am doing, and the people I am helping, and to anyone that gets in my way, all I have to say is, its not me you will be faced by on judgement day, it is God. And remember, I am Gods child, as are you. I am thankful to God everyday for what he has done for me, and the things he is presenting me with in the future. I may not know what is going to happen tomorrow, but I know it is going to have a purpose in my life, and that God has worked out the details. I am thankful to have such a forgiving Lord, and could not ask for anything more.

Rainy monday (8/17/09)

Normally Monday's are ok for me, they aren't the greatest, but they are usually busy. Today was no exception. I got to work on time, and started doing paperwork, etc, made some sales, talked to some friends in the work complex, etc. Today was a pretty good day in sales actually, so that made me happy. Signed on a new web design customer, which is always nice to see growing. Also got to hang out with a friend from church. Chilled at my house a little bit, took him to the office, showed him around. It was a good monday, one of my better ones actually lol. It was rainy though, but oh well, what can you do about it. Rainy weather is nice though, it calls for a calm setting and makes you feel relaxed. Not a whole lot to report today. I still got lots of work to do on the Survivor Karate Video, but i'll get it done soon. All I know is, for me, I am gonna spend the rest of my night watching my subscriptions on youtube, and reading the online story I have been reading for a while. Ill catch you guys tomorrow.

starting of daily blogs (8/17/09)

A lot of people are doing "vlogs" now on youtube. I am not really famous and all, and I don't really care for people reading/seeing my blogs, I just feel I need to get them down some how, and I figured this is the safest way to do it without having to worry about losing it cause my laptop fries. Anyways, I am gonna starting trying to do daily blogs and if someone reads them, great, if not, oh well, its for me not them anyways.

Sunday's have to to be my favorite day of the week. I get to wake up semi late (9 A.M.) which is an improvement for the week days and even Saturday's. I honestly like Sunday's cause I get to go to church, hang out with all the cool people there, as well as all the cool kids. I love being the Service Leader during my church's first service. Service Leader means I get to go around and make sure everything is running fine, fix and problems, interact with the other volunteers as well as the kids. Today we took our second attempt at making the teen ministry hype up the kids during their service...it was a fail again, but I feel it is only a matter of time before we get the kids and the other teens comfortable being in the same room together. For me, its natural now. I have been working around kids for the past 4 and a half years at my church, on and off. My 6th grade year I started volunteering in the childrens ministry at a stage hand, 7th grade I left the church for a few months, came back running a camera, then was asked to start up with the new campus and help lead in the children's ministry again. I love running camera's, and doing anything to do with filming, but I have a great passion for helping out with kids. Mainly because when I was young, I had an awesome leader in the church watching over me, and encouraging me that I could do whatever I put my mind to. He now has become my leader in church, and I am now working in the same ministry as him. His name is Jeff Skinner, and never shall I forget him. Not just because he has got to be one of the biggest kids in the world (the guy has a sense of humor like a 11 year old, its great!), but because he always backed me when no one else would. He has got to be the only reason I have made it so far so fast in the Church, and has a lot to do with why I have the confidence of starting up my own business. I don't really see him much any more because he is at the other campus, so I am not sure how well we click still (due to the lack of seeing each other), but I still find him to be a swell guy and lover serving with him on the occasion that we are at the same campus together. Anyways, back to today, normal Sunday other than having the teens in the area. Got to hang out with the crazy elementary kids, get trampled on by the boys, and kicked and punched by the girls. Yep, typical Sunday. Got home, and did what I love to do every Sunday after church, CATCH UP ON SLEEP! It was honestly much needed this week. I have been spending long hours working...well work, plus finishing up an exam for school that I found out I didn't send to them...woops, plus editing a video for a video shoot I did in Jekyll Island for a karate tournament. Its actually been quite fun working on the video, and I am quite hyped about showing it to the organizers. If only I had better software and equipment to edit it on. Also I have been working on getting advertisers for the tournament next year so we can raise the money for the equipment to broadcast it live. We need any where from eight to ten thousand dollars, just to get the basics...ouch! Should be fun to plan. Anyways, its now 12:36 Monday morning, lol, but I wanted to get my first post up. Glad to be blogging again, I feel I have been long over due for this!
